We are thrilled to announce the latest recipient of the Simply the Basics’ Hygiene Bank Association Menstrual Grant—Phoenix Family Resources. Nestled in Delaware, Phoenix Family Resources, a member of the Hygiene Bank Association, operates a hygiene service comprising of a resource center and a mobile unit. Through their work, they serve as hope and support for individuals facing hygiene insecurity in their community. We are thrilled to award them with this grant and essential supplies to further hygiene access in their community. Access to menstrual products isn't just about hygiene—it's about health, confidence, education, and empowerment.

Period poverty causes physical, mental and emotional challenges -  let’s work together to ensure that everyone has access!" - Babita D Jagnanan, ED of Phoenix Family Resources

At Simply the Basics, our commitment extends beyond the distribution of hygiene care through our hygiene bank programs. We recognize the importance of collaboration and support within the hygiene bank community, which is why we established the Hygiene Bank Association. This association provides a platform for hygiene banks to connect, share resources, and access vital grants to further their mission. Through quarterly grants, eligible hygiene banks, like Phoenix Family Resources, can enhance their services, reaching even more individuals in need.

None of this would be possible without the generosity of our grant sponsors. Their support fuels our mission to improve hygiene access and promote dignity for all. Together, we are breaking down barriers, empowering communities, and fostering a brighter, healthier future. If you are interested in learning more on how to sponsor a future grant, we would love to hear from you!

We also invite hygiene banks and hygiene services to join us in this important work in making a tangible difference in the lives of our neighbors and community. With each grant awarded, we take another step forward toward hygiene equity and accessibility.
