Voice and Volume, a student led club at Pinewood School Upper Campus, is working to promote awareness about hygiene equity!
Anya & Ana, two juniors at Pinewood have started an initiative to provide 300 hygiene kits to people in need through Simply the Basics hygiene bank. In their efforts, their club is hosting a Fundraiser to receive everyday essential hygiene supplies to benefit Simply the Basics programs! The hygiene kits will go to our Receiving Sites to support children, families, and adults experiencing hygiene insecurity in San Francisco.
Across the country, roughly 1 in 4 families experience hygiene insecurity and within the population of women and children experiencing homelessness or living with limited income in SF, the majority do not have regular access to menstrual care products. Providing basic hygiene needs both to people experiencing homelessness and families living with limited income is proven to improve health, dignity, save nonprofits time, and ensure that everyone has their most basic needs met. We appreciate you for helping us to achieve this goal!

Your donation is 100% tax deductible and goes towards the value of the supplies (such as shampoo, socks, soap, etc) needed to assemble the hygiene kits. Any additional donations allow Simply the Basics to reach further and purchase the quality products that our Recipients request and require for their unique health needs.
